What we do
EIM delivers in-house and on-site certification training to inspection and integrity teams at refineries, EPC contractors and inspection companies across the Gulf and India.
Sending twelve people to a public course one at a time takes eighteen months, costs more than it looks, and leaves you with twelve engineers who learned the same syllabus from four different instructors with four different emphases. Bringing the course to the site takes a fortnight and produces a team that shares a vocabulary.
The bigger difference is what gets taught. A public batch has to serve a room of strangers from unrelated plants, so the examples stay generic. An in-house programme can be built around your equipment, your damage mechanisms and your actual inspection findings — which is the difference between an engineer who can pass API 571 and one who can apply it to the crude unit they walk past every morning.
Our instructors carry out inspection and asset integrity assignments themselves. That is deliberate: the field examples in the classroom are theirs, not borrowed from a textbook.

How a programme gets built
Needs and eligibility check
Which certification actually fits the roles, and who on the team is eligible to sit it. This routinely changes the answer — teams often ask for API 510 when the gap is really API 571.
Diagnostic and syllabus map
A short diagnostic across the group shows where the collective weak areas are. The syllabus is then weighted toward those rather than delivered evenly across the body of knowledge.

FAQs
Questions training managers ask
Public batches on our Live Courses page are bought by individuals, run on fixed published dates, follow a standard syllabus and are priced per seat. Corporate programmes are bought by a company for its own team, scheduled around your shutdown and shift pattern, weighted toward the areas your group is actually weak on, and priced per programme.
The course content overlaps heavily. What differs is who sets the dates, whose equipment the examples come from, and how the commercials work.
In-house delivery generally becomes worthwhile from around four to six participants, because instructor travel and preparation are fixed regardless of headcount. Below that, sending people to a public batch is usually cheaper for you and we will say so.
The exception is where the content needs to be specific to your plant. A single integrity engineer who needs API 571 applied to your own crude unit damage mechanisms may still justify a bespoke session.
No. Certification is issued by API, AMPP or TWI directly, and each candidate applies and books their own Prometric seat with the certifying body. Exam fees are paid to them, not to us.
What we do is walk candidates through eligibility, the application, the documentation the body will ask for, and the booking process — which is where most first-time applicants lose time.
Yes. A significant share of our corporate work is non-certification technical training — corrosion control, internal corrosion monitoring, heat exchanger inspection, RBI awareness for operations staff — built around a client's own procedures and equipment.
Send the competence framework or the procedure you want people trained against and we will map a syllabus to it.
Above about four participants, in-house is normally cheaper on the training line alone. The larger saving is usually in the costs that never reach the training budget: travel, accommodation, and the days each engineer is off site.
Send a headcount and the certification and we will quote it against the equivalent public-batch cost so you can see both.
No, and you should treat any provider who offers that guarantee with caution. The exams are set and marked by the certifying body, and outcomes depend on each candidate’s background and preparation as much as on the teaching.
What we do offer is an honest readiness report before anyone sits. If the diagnostic says a candidate is not ready, you will hear it from us in time to do something about it rather than after the result arrives.
