Instructor Bio: Mr. Nilanjan Sen Senior Metallurgical Inspection Engineer Chennai, India Mr. Nilanjan Sen is an experienced Mechanical Engineer with over 35 years of expertise in inspection, corrosion management, failure analysis, and QA/QC across major refineries and large-scale infrastructure projects in India and the Middle East. He specializes in Risk-Based Inspection (RBI), equipment integrity, corrosion assessment, root cause failure analysis, welding inspection, and asset reliability management. Throughout his career, he has successfully led inspection programs, turnaround shutdown activities, and integrity assessments for critical refinery units, including Sulphur Recovery Units, Hydrocrackers, Hydrogen Units, and Acid Gas Removal Plants. His extensive knowledge of international standards such as API, ASME, and NACE has contributed significantly to plant safety, reliability, and operational excellence. Mr. Sen has worked with renowned organizations including Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), and Excellence Integrity Management. He played key roles in major refinery and infrastructure projects, including the Mina Al Ahmadi Refinery in Kuwait and the New Oil Pier Project for KNPC. As a Senior Instructor at Excellence Integrity Management, he has trained more than 1,600 professionals worldwide through online and hybrid learning programs. He is highly regarded for his practical industry insights, technical mentoring, and ability to bridge theoretical concepts with real-world inspection and maintenance challenges.
